Judy’s visit to BMAG

ByJudy Dyke March 19, 2015

Lucifer BMAG

I am a proud Brummie and could not refuse the invitation of Julia Field Events Co-ordinator to remake my acquaintance with BMAG.

Entering through the Round Room to a welcome from Jacob Epstein’s Lucifer I made my way to the new Staffordshire Hoard Gallery.

Horse's Head BMAG

The magnificent Hoard includes this gold mount in the shape of a horse’s head with filigree decoration.

The displays and story were fantastic. The fascinating interactive table was surrounded by school

children gaining insight into the craftsmanship of the Hoard.

Then it was time for a cappuccino with Julia in the newly refurbished Edwardian Tea Rooms.

Rubber Duck BMAG

I came back to the office with details of the reasonably priced hiring opportunities in the museum with in-house catering (for business or family occasions) and an exclusive Anglo Saxon Rubber Duck inspired by the Staffordshire Hoard!

Please do visit BMAG yourself.
