Legal Aid Services

We have contracts with the Legal Services Commission to provide publically funded legal aid work in the following areas; Family including Child Care; Housing and Crime including Prison Law. In some of those areas the amount of work that we can undertake is limited by the number of case starts allocated to us by the Legal Services Commission or by our capacity in terms of the number of fee earners addressing that particular kind of work.

In some areas of our legal aid work eligibility is merit tested as well as means tested.

Where appropriate we will advise you on the principle availability of legal aid and then guide you through the completion of the forms in relation to eligibility.
