Charitable Harborne High Street
Over the following months I will be heading down Harborne High Street to find out about the charitable work carried out by our local businesses.
Sadly many people in the Birmingham Community experience ill-health and hardship and it is wonderful to learn of the support given by our local community.
The first shop that I have visited The Gem Box, located next to Waitrose, is a family established and run jewellers operating for over 30 years. I first encountered the Gem Box when I visited them to have a ring re-sized and refurbished. I enjoyed excellent service from Paul (in-house jeweller), Margot and Jay. I was so pleased to find we all support Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice. The Hospice provides vital care to patients and families living with terminal illnesses across Birmingham and Sandwell.
The Gem Box offers the local community a variety of jewellery, watches, engagement and wedding rings, antique items as well as repairs, valuation and engraving services. The work done is all bespoke completed by the in-house jeweller.
