9th June 2011
Dear runner
Thank you for signing up to the 2011 Birmingham Half Marathon reminder service.
We are pleased to inform you that the event has become part of the Bupa Great Run series, the world’s largest mass participation running programme and has been relaunched as the Bupa Great Birmingham Run.
The new look Bupa Great Birmingham Run will now sit alongside some of the UK’s most iconic running events, such as the Bupa Great North Run – the world’s biggest half marathon and the nation’s favourite 10k running event, the Bupa Great Manchester Run.
The event will take place in Birmingham City Centre on Sunday 23 October 2011 and is open to runners of all abilities. The half marathon course will follow a similar route to last year although some changes have been made to the start and finish system to improve the runner experience.
Entries open at noon on Thursday 2 June and the 15,000 places will be available on a strictly first come, first served basis.
The minimum age for runners is 17 years old on the day of the event and the entry fee is £30.
We look forward to you joining us on the start line of this exciting event in October.
Best wishes
Bupa Great Birmingham Run team
