Tree of Light 2024

ByKate Slater December 11, 2024

We are delighted to announce that friends and clients of Tyndallwoods together raised over £3,000, celebrating the lives of loved ones by dedicating Lights on our ‘Tree of Light’ in support of Edward’s Trust – https://edwardstrust.org.uk/

Edward’s Trust was set up in 1989 by Peter and Hilary Dent in memory of their son Edward, who died aged 7 of cancer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Over 35 years later the Trust offers support to parents bereaved of their baby or child – whatever the age or circumstance; children and young people aged between 4 – 24 years who are bereaved of a parent, grandparent, significant carer, sibling or friend and bereaved parents/carers of a child or young person who is currently accessing support through Edward’s Trust and who also require support with their grief. The Charity also offers advice, support, information and training to professionals working with bereaved families.

Our Tree of Light now stands in our office during the Christmas season. Christmas is a special time for friends and family when we often recall memories of those who have died in recent years. The names of everyone for whom a light is dedicated is recorded in a “Book of Lights” kept on display at the office during the month of December.

Thank you.
